HR Specialist

Starting pay: $21 to $23 an hour, depending on experience.

Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: Provide day-to-day operational support for all HR Business Partners and HR Leadership. As an entry level professional, this position sets the tone as the cultural ambassador for all applicants and employees and monitors the 'pulse' of employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  1. Provide proactive customer service to hiring leaders, employees and candidates ensuring a positive transition from applicant to new hire.
  2. Maintain department metrics reports as needed/requested by HRBP's and/or HR Directors.
  3. Provide guidance regarding company policies and procedures.
  4. Assist HRBP's with employee relations issues and conduct investigations as requested.
  5. Assist with maintaining the Applicant Tracking System; ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
  6. Schedule new employee orientations and assist or conduct them as requested.
  7. Ensure all pre-employment processes are successfully completed.
  8. Ensure appropriate materials are readily available for HR events such as campus recruiting or job fairs or other employee events. Ensure any required registration paperwork and/or fees are processed in a timely fashion.
  9. Ensure all queues (phone, e-mail, etc.) as well as in-person visitors are provided with accurate information or directed to the appropriate HR Business Partners (HRBP's).
  10. Participate in special projects or ad-hoc assignments for department initiatives.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills: Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work in a rapidly changing work environment. Must be able to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions. Must be able to maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion. Must be able to work well with others. Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Must have high attention to detail.
  1. Education: Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. Experience Required: 3 years' experience in administrative support role required. Previous experience in Human Resources preferred. Knowledge of ATS preferred.
